Shane Dunne

Biography

Shane Dunne is a PhD candidate at the Department of Multi-Actor Systems of the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management and the Delft University of Technology. He holds an MSc in Policy Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a BA (Mod) in Economic and Social Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

Previously, Shane has worked in a number of roles in Ireland including as a Research Assistant at the Economic and Social Research Institute, Aviation Business Analyst at daa, and Economist/Policy Analyst at the Department of Finance.

During his PhD in the Center for Social Complexity of Climate Change, Shane seeks to leverage his prior experience in microsimulation and macroeconomics to develop distributional computable general equilibrium models. Through these modelling advancements, he aims to contribute to evaluation of climate damages and adaptation policies in terms of their impacts on economic inequality and overall societal wellbeing.

Outside work, he can often be found running, cooking, enjoying a film/book/tv series, eating ice cream, or supporting his home-town football team, Bohemian FC, from afar.
